Dominant ideology of patriarchy has so deeply rooted in our society.

Girls are often taught what to wear, how to behave, to cook, to forgive her brother/husband for their mistakes (even violence) always stating what she can and can not do and list is very very long always setting intricate rules for girls. When she is adult her family sells her to a buyer and give their own money with her to the buyer like she is just an item of no use and now a burden to her own family. And when she is pregnant everyone wishes the child to be a boy (these stereotype people think only boy can continue the clan of male family ignoring the fact that the baby belongs to that girl too, contributing 50% of her gene) but not a girl and in case if the child is girl, cycle continues ( like women are personification of sacrifice).

Today as everyone uses social media, one can see the work of memers, how they have left no stone unturned in expressing their misogynistic views and surprisingly most of the users voluntarily share those posts and make fun of women like they don’t have any feelings and are toy which is used to play.

This is not new in our society, we are brought up in a way where male dominate female in every aspect of life be it home or work place. This is visible in every class and sector of human civilization. Patriarchy is not only limited to male but females equally contribute to this by setting rules and regulations for their own community and not letting other rise or think out of the box (instead of incouraging for their good works, accusing women for the same as if they are meant to serve others and don’t have any right to do things on their own, the most prominant example of sexist women are our neighbour aunties).

Like a boy can smoke, drink, have sex, it’s okay for society(everyone says boys will be boys and they can be forgiven)but if the same is done by a girl, everyone judge her character including other girls (those boys too who do the same things can’t accept his sister or wife to be ‘that kind of girl’). Even when someone rape a girl, society accuses the girl (claiming she must have dressed like a whore) but not the rapist (shows which type of stereotype bigot our society is). All these unethical and unacceptable things have been so much normalised nowadays that we have stopped thinking on our own and walk on the path made by this orthodox society.

If we start noticing Bollywood and other regional movies & songs lyrics, it always objectifies women, using nasty gestures, sexist comments, even violence in most of them against women(which is much appriciated among youngests shows on which path they are heading).

Most embarrassing part is even the Constitution of some countries have not made laws which treat male and female equal on every ground. Like Indian Constitution do not accept rape of a women if she is already married to the person who raped her ( like she is personal property of that person).

In every situation women are treated as a second class citizen right from her birth like she doesn’t have a life and is brought in this world to assist male, like they are the weaker sex and less capable than men, especially in the realm of logic and rational reasoning.Women are relegated to the domestic realm of nurturance and emotions and, therefore, according to that reasoning, cannot be good leaders in business, politics, and academia. Society objectifies her and uses her accordingly, and if in any case she utter a single word against the cruel rules and regulations of this repressive social code, she is made silent everytime and given a certificate assassinating her character by the traitors of human kind.
